I was thrilled to receive the notification that Almost Boston was selected for the Valkyrie International Film Festival and then when I received another email that it was nominated for Best Comedy Short. We traveled to Buffalo, New York to attend. It was a quick trip but with an early arrival we had just enough time to go to Niagara Falls before the start of the festival.
I was especially honored to be included in this festival that celebrates female directors. There were some great films screened and the mother, daughter festival director team made it even more special.
We didn’t win but I’m so grateful that we were selected and that I was able to attend. We also took a little time to explore Buffalo’s theatre district and a stroll to Canal Side. I know we’ll be going back again and if you have a female directed film I highly recommend submitting to this festival.
