Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival – April 23, 2019

Like most Oregonians I am so ready for spring. While not a bad winter it has been long, rainy and gloomy. The prime blooming season for tulips in the Pacific Northwest is fairly short and was even a bit late this year but I’d heard that this week is prime time to see the tulip fields. It just so happened that I had nothing planned for the day so I packed my camera, charged up my batteries and off I went.

The Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm is about an hour drive from where I live but it is a lovely drive through the farm and hops fields of the Willamette Valley.

It looks like I was drawn to the yellows and oranges . . . . . they were all so beautiful. If you get a chance to visit do it. I just heard they are extending the season to May 5th, so there is still time.

Enjoy!
